Minister of Missions

Travis Gatson

Travis Gatson was born in Chicago, IL. He went to high school in Wheaton, IL, a suburb outside of Chicago.  He left Illinois and moved to Los Angles, CA where he attended El Camino College.   After college, he enlisted in the Marine Corps. and served his country for six years.   Travis has lived in Georgia for 22 years.    He has become active in the community and completed the Gwinnett Neighborhood Leadership Institute in order to further his impact.  He is a former Vice-President of the Gwinnett branch of the NAACP.  He and his lovely wife Patsy have three beautiful children; Brandon (age 17), Trett (age 13), and Keandra (12).

As a child, Travis came to know Jesus as his Lord and Personal Savior.  He is currently the Assistant Pastor of Suwanee Parish United Methodist Church where Rev Araminta Lett is the Senior Pastor.   As a devoted member, he has served as Lay Leader, Chaired SPR/PPR, is a member of the United Methodist Men, and has attained Pathways East Walk to Emmaus.   Travis’ devotion and commitment to serve the Lord was instilled in him throughout his childhood from his wonderful mother, Georgia Gatson.  As an adult, he is still on fire for the Lord.    Travis understands before he was formed in his mother’s womb, the lord knew him and called him to do great things for the Kingdom.  He does not take his calling lightly.
